Ruan was born and raised in Wolmaransstad, North West, in South Africa and has been working for VFF on a H2A agricultural visa since August 2018. He applied for a more permanent status in 2022, demonstrating his commitment to VFF’s long-term success. 

As a senior sprayer operator, Ruan takes great pride in his work and finds joy in spraying operations, going above and beyond to ensure efficiency. His dedication is evident in his early mornings and late evenings getting the job done with the highest standards. His versatility is a valuable asset to VFF, especially assisting with long equipment hauls to and from the Texas farm. While Ruan has a wide range of tasks, he still finds enjoyment in riding dirt bikes and fishing.
