Myles Vulgamore

Owner

Myles became a full-time member of the family farm in 2004, right after his graduation from Kansas State University. With a B.S. in agricultural technology management and minors in agronomy and agricultural economics, Myles brought his excellent problem-solving and mechanical skills. From fixing farm equipment to handling computer networks, there’s no challenge he can’t tackle.

Myles’ calm and amiable personality perfectly complements his brother Brian’s dynamic and creative nature. When Brian envisions a new concept or method for improving efficiency on the farm, Myles’s natural sense of ingenuity makes it happen. Some of Myles’s most notable developments include an automated soil sampler, the creation of VFF’s crop scouting model (think Google Street View for a farm), the ability to capture and process aerial imagery from VFF’s Cessna 172 (think Google Earth with frequently updated imagery), and the creation of VFF grain tracking (think Uber for grain). Myles’s resourcefulness and ability to solve problems continue to amaze the entire VFF team.
