Kevin was raised on a dairy farm in Fort Scott, Kansas. After earning his bachelor’s degree in animal science from Kansas State University, he briefly returned to work on the family dairy before pursuing a master’s degree in agricultural education. Kevin’s passion for teaching led him on a 31-year journey as an ag instructor, with 27 of those years spent on Scott Community High School. Kevin was an important teacher and mentor to many area farmers and VFF team members, including Brian, Myles, Patrick and Abe Jr, Leighton, and Nancy.
In 2017, Kevin transitioned into overseeing VFF’s seed business. His extensive knowledge in agricultural education led him to VFF with not only a broad scope of knowledge but also an appreciation for learning. Kevin has embraced the role of a crop production and hybrid selection expert, and he excels at sharing this valuable information with customers for the betterment of their operations. Kevin never fails to entertain customers and the VFF team with his wit and humor.
