Karen grew up on her family’s farm near Wright, Kansas and graduated with an accounting degree from St. Mary of the Plains in Dodge City, Kansas. Before settling in Scott City, Karen worked as an office manager for a construction company in Wichita. The relocation came about when her husband, Jaime, accepted the position as Superintendent of Schools for USD 466 (Scott Community).
After joining the VFF team in 2015, Karen quickly settled into the role as office manager—overseeing everything from accounting to human resources. She has been a perfect fit to the VFF management team. Growing up on a family farm, she understands agriculture and the dynamics of a family business. With her past experience in the construction industry, Karen has brought some much-needed professionalism to VFF’s human resource department (or lack thereof). Most importantly, the team at VFF appreciates her pleasant and friendly personality that makes the office a happier place to be!
