Kansas is known for its vast grasslands and prairies, but the western region’s lack of trees has been a growing concern among environmentalists, researchers, and residents alike. Western Kansas experiences frequent droughts, high winds, and temperatures, making it difficult for trees to thrive. For these reasons, VFF has been dedicated to planting trees around its headquarters and at the new grain facility. Ground preparation requires careful planning and attention to detail, for example, the water system you can see here was inserted to water the trees in the most optimal way. Newly planted trees are always closely monitored to ensure they have the best possible start and are set up for long-term success.
