Spreading and Irrigation
Willie Unger, Jr. started working at Vulgamore Family Farm in 2008 earning extra money over the summers by mowing and taking on other grounds keeping duties. He later moved up to full-time status with the farm, continuing his work as a grounds keeper and performing equipment cleaning and care.
Willie Jr. now holds a number of responsibilities on the farm, including manure spreading, maintenance on a variety of types of equipment (but specializing in combines and headers) and his very favorite task of driving a grain cart. He loves the work on the farm and wants to continue it into a career, with hopes of adding truck driving to his list of responsibilities when old enough.
Willie Jr. has lived in Scott City since his family moved here from Colorado when he was in 4th grade. When not on the farm, he enjoys riding dirt bikes, reading action/adventure books, watching the Dallas Cowboys play and hanging out with friends. He also recently purchased himself a 2008 red Dodge Charger that he loves for its good looks and even better gas mileage.
