Cattle and Maintenance

Willie’s love for animals gives him an extra edge in his primary responsibility with Vulgamore Family Farms – the care and management of the operation’s cattle. For Willie, the health of each of the cows is about more than just a job – it is his own personal passion that drives him to ensure that each one is in the best condition possible.

Willie started at Vulgamore Family Farms in 2006, and since has been in charge of the farm’s beef production program. In addition, Willie also undertakes tasks in various different areas around the farm, including tree planting, repairing water lines, welding and construction. He has spent his life and career working in agriculture, and feels that farm life is an excellent fit for his skills and interests.

To relax, Willie enjoys fishing and hunting, and is also a skilled carpenter. He is married to Helena, and the pair has five children: Willie (born in 1995), Margarete (born in 1997), Nancy (born in 1998), Benhart (born in 2002) and Denne (born in 2008).
