Seed and Agronomy

Ben joined Precision Ag & Seed Services in May 2011 as its new agronomist and seed specialist. A graduate of Kansas State University (KSU) in agricultural technology management, Ben brings a number of skills to the table from his experiences in the field as well as in the classroom.

Ben grew up in St. John, Kan., where he helped his family raise produce that they then sold at farmers markets. Upon arriving at KSU, Ben started his undergraduate degree in biological and agricultural engineering before shifting his focus to agricultural technology management. He received his B.S. in May 2011.

While at KSU, Ben was active in Farmhouse, Christian Challenge and Navigators. He also worked on-campus for the university police department in student security, as well as in a KSU soils lab for a year. In the summer of 2010, Ben was an intern agronomist with Crop Quest in Dodge City, Kan.

Off the farm, Ben is an avid golfer and loves being outdoors and spending time with friends. He is glad to be located in Western Kansas, a region where he feels right at home. He enjoys being on the farm where he can stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and practices being used out in the field.
